It’s a key component of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), designed to digitize India’s healthcare system. By registering on the NHPR, healthcare professionals can join India’s digital health ecosystem, making their services accessible to patients. This platform ensures that only qualified and verified healthcare providers are visible to the public, fostering trust and transparency. In this article, we’ll cover the ins and outs of the registration process for the Health Care Professional Registry.

 

To register on the NHPR, healthcare professionals must meet specific eligibility criteria and provide necessary documentation. Once registered, they can access a range of digital tools and services, such as online consultations, electronic health records, and telemedicine. NHPR aims to streamline healthcare processes, improve patient care, and enhance the overall healthcare experience.

Document Needed for the Registration of Health Care Professional Registry

It is important to ensure that you have all the necessary documents ready before starting the registration process. These documents may include:

 

  • Medical Degree Certificate

  • Registration Certificate from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council

  • Aadhaar Card

  • PAN Card

  • Passport-sized Photograph

Steps to Register for the Health Care Professional Registry

Registering on the Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) is a simple process that takes about 10-15 minutes, provided you have all the necessary documents ready.

 

You’ll need to generate a unique Health Professional ID using your Aadhaar card or driving license. Once you have your HPID, you can log in and fill out the application form with your personal details, qualifications, and work experience.

 

After submitting the form, your information will be verified by the relevant regulatory body. If verified, your account will be activated. Remember to keep your registration certificate, degree/diploma, and proof of employment handy before starting the registration process.

 

You can access the HPR website to begin your registration. Let’s go step by step to complete the registration process for the Health Care Professional Registry. There are 4 steps to register the HPR profile.

 

  • Personal Details: The details like name, address, etc. are fetched automatically.

  • Qualifications and Registration Details

  • Work Details

  • Preview Profile

Step 1: Enter the languages spoken. You can select multiple languages.

Step 2: If the communication address is different from the KYC, then uncheck the box and enter the details of the communication address, and click on the ‘Save & Next’ button to proceed further to the next section.

 

Step 3: For qualification and registration details, you will enter the registration number, date, and council of registration.

After entering the registration details, attach the registration certificate document. You can also upload the documents from Digi Locker, as there is an option available at the right side ‘Pull from Digi Locker’.

 

Step 4: Enter qualification details and upload the degree/diploma certificate document.

Step 5: If in case your name is different in Aadhaar and degree/registration, then attach the relevant documents like name change affidavit, etc. and click on ‘Save and Next’ button.

 

Step 6: In the work details section, enter the work details, work status, and the place of work. You can select multiple options in Nature of Work.

After filling out all the details for the place of work, click on the ‘Save and Next’ button.

If you have selected government or both in Work status, then you have to mandatorily attach the document for the proof of working in the government facility, like work order, appointment letter, etc.

 

Step 7: Place of work is mandatory for government professionals and optional in the case of private professionals.

You can search the facility through the facility name, state, district, or facility ID.

 

Step 8: Click on the ‘Declare Facility’ button after filling up the details and click on the checkbox on the right side. If the facility is not available in the list provided, you can go to the ‘Click Here’ button, present below the Declare Facility, and enter the details.

 

Step 9: To preview the profile, go to “Click here.”

Step 10: You can cross-verify all the details that have been entered before the final submission.

 

In case you want to update your profile, click on the pen icon on the top right side of the pop-up.

Step 11: Tick the check box for the final declaration and click on the ‘E-sign and Submit’ button.

Step 12:  A new portal will appear; you have to enter your Aadhaar number and click on the ‘Get OTP’ option.

Step 13: After entering the OTP received on the Aadhaar registered mobile number, click on the check box and then click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Step 14: A notification will appear that shows the successful completion of the E-sign. Click on the ‘OK’ button.

Step 15: A pdf would be generated and downloaded after a successful e-sign and submit of the application.

You can edit your profile by clicking on the edit form button.

 

After submitting the application, it will be reviewed by the concerned authorities. Upon verification, your registration will be approved.

 

Note: Participate in Healthcare Workforce Mobility, Medical Certificate, Download Digital Certificate, and Additional Qualification buttons are visible after the verification from the concerned authority.
